# GetFit

> GetFit (thegetfit.app) answers "what workout can I do with this time, this gear, and this body?" Its coach builds one complete session that fits the minutes, uses only the equipment someone has, and steers around anything they want to avoid — warm-up, sets, reps, rest, effort and safety notes.

## MCP server

- Endpoint: https://thegetfit.app/mcp-server
- Transport: streamable HTTP (JSON-RPC over POST, stateless). GET returns 405.
- Authentication: none for public tools. A personal connector URL (minted at https://thegetfit.app/connect.html) adds the person's own tools.

## Tools

- build_workout: What workout can I do with this time, this gear, and this body? Inputs (all optional): focus, minutes (hard ceiling, default 30), equipment (none | dumbbells | hotel_gym | full_gym, free text, or a list), avoid (e.g. knees, lower back, jumping), level, goal, intensity. Returns a summary sentence, the full workout, safety_notes, fits_in_minutes and a link to run it in GetFit's Player. The workout is posted to GetFit Explore as "GetFit" with nothing personal in it.
- search_workouts: What workouts are on GetFit for legs / 20 minutes / dumbbells? Inputs: query, focus, max_minutes, equipment, discipline, source, limit.
- get_workout: Show me that workout in full. Input: slug.
- list_contributors / get_contributor: Who posts workouts on GetFit?
- Personal connector only: my_profile, build_plan (multi-week plan onto their calendar), my_schedule, my_history, build_workout (saved to their library, private unless they choose to post it), and list/create/update/publish/delete their workouts.

## Limits

- 300 workouts and 60 plans per hour per assistant connection (hosted assistants share one connection across their users).
- 1,500 new workouts and plans per day across all assistants; then a tool error with retry_after.
- 300 calls per minute per client; then HTTP 429 with retry_after. Batches of up to 10 messages.
